Yangon – London-based World Finance has awarded three banking prizes for year 2014 to Kanbawza Bank.
According to the announcement from World Finance, Kanbawza Bank won “Best Banking Group in Myanmar 2014” and “Best Commercial Bank in Myanmar 2014,” and the Bank’s chairman U Aung Ko Win won “Banker of the Year in Asia 2014.”
Due to its branches operating throughout the country and the highest confidence from the people, Kanbawza is considered the strongest private bank and thus awarded “Best Commercial Bank in Myanmar 2014,” according to World Finance.
“At a time when the whole world is focused on Myanmar, Kanbawza Bank won these awards probably because it is operating with a lot of branches in the country, paying taxes regularly to the government, and giving services to its customers,” said U Kyaw Soe Min, assistant executive director from Myanmar Apex Bank.
Kanbawza Bank has many branches and has the most deposits out of all banks in Myanmar.
